Writing Alive will explore the creative elements and narrative arcs that are true for every form of writing, fiction or non-fiction.

Heart and honesty, humor and hope, accuracy and authenticity are inspirations.

From absolute beginners to wizened wordsmiths, Writing Alive will be a commencement and a continuation of the wondrous journey of self-expression.

About the Tutor:

Margaret Kirby is a playwright, researcher, university tutor and writer whose work has spanned theatre, historical research, circus performance and long-form fiction. Her plays have been professionally produced, and she recently completed a PhD examining nineteenth-century circus performers touring Asia. Margaret believes that writing is an act of discovery rather than perfection, and her workshops combine practical writing exercises, discussion, creativity and encouragement in a welcoming environment for writers of all levels, from complete beginners to experienced authors.
