The Great Maldon Teddy Bear Adventure

Once upon a time, in the picturesque town of Maldon, the teddy bears gathered with a heartfelt idea — to create a magical mid-winter picnic adventure and invite children and their beloved teddy bears from near and far.

After a summer that touched many neighbouring communities, the bears decided it was time to bring a little joy, kindness and fairy tale magic back into the world. The Progress Hall at the Maldon Community Centre in Francis Street will be transformed into an enchanted indoor forest — a whimsical place to picnic and play, no matter the winter weather. With the help of local primary schools and preschools, the forest will come to life with imagination and wonder. Friends of the bears will fill the day with music, storytelling, art workshops, a teddy bear parade, and even a Teddy Bear Hospital for those bears in need of a little extra love and repair.

Throughout the historic village, shop windows will sparkle with teddy bear displays, and a Teddy Bear Trail will lead visitors on a clue filled adventure. There will be face painting, fairy floss, and plenty of surprises along the way. The Maldon Brass Band will perform teddy bear tunes and Maldon Golden Movies will host a special free screening of Paddington for families and bears to enjoy together.
