Maldon Drumming Session

Join Ghanaian master drummer Mishael Gyabeng for a fun, energetic, and beginner-friendly drumming session in Maldon. Growing up immersed in traditional music and dance in Ghana, Mishael has over 30 years of experience performing and teaching African rhythms to people of all ages and abilities. This welcoming workshop is perfect for complete beginners, while also offering plenty for more experienced drummers to enjoy. Participants will learn traditional West African rhythms in a relaxed and supportive environment, with lots of opportunities to play together, build confidence, and connect through music and rhythm. If you have your own drum, please bring it along. A limited number of drums will also be available to use on the day. No experience is needed — just bring your enthusiasm and get ready to drum!
