About the event
Tarrangower Tomorrow (TT), formerly known as Tarrangower Community Forum, launched the Tarrangower Tomorrow Community Plan, with considerable input and strong support from the community, in early 2022.
Since then, the group has promoted the plan to the community generally, and to specific groups likely to achieve aspects of the plan. The organisations with which TT has held discussions have included Maldon Inc., Maldon Artist Network (MANet), Mount Alexander Shire Council and The Hub/ YIMBY.
Successes arising from the recent, and previous plans, include the completion of power undergrounding and streetscape works in the central historic area, a water bubbler near the playground, discussions with Parks Victoria regarding maintenance of bushland, a book of walks, a kit of information for new businesses (in preparation), awarding of a contract for a community battery, and a new gallery to promote the work of local artists.
