Climate Ready Maldon

Created: Friday, 20 December 2019

The Climate Ready Maldon project led by the Maldon Neighbourhood Centre will support Maldon residents to become climate ready with practical actions such as home improvements to create cool zones, development of bushfire, emergency and heatwave plans, as well as education and awareness-raising about local climate change impacts.

Volunteers will work with Maldon residents to assess their homes and create a plan for households to put into action, helping to cope with heat waves and extreme weather events.

If you are interested in volunteering with this project or improving the inside temperature of your home, then get in touch today! Participating households will receive a $50 voucher to help make changes.  Register your interest on 5475 2093!

Enrol for 2020!

Created: Tuesday, 17 December 2019

Are you considering Occasional Childcare in 2020? Well, now is the time to enrol your child!

We welcome families to come and visit - meet our staff and have a play! We can provide an enrolment pack for you filled with information about the service and all the necessary forms. Our service operates on Mondays from 9.30am to 2.30pm, our final day for 2019 is Monday 16 December and we will start again from Monday 20 January.

The Maldon Neighbourhood Centre has recently welcomed two new staff members to the childcare team and together we will be planning the programme for 2020. The Occasional Childcare service at the Maldon Neighbourhood Centre has been caring for the children of Maldon, Baringhup, Castlemaine and surrounds for many years. We would love to foster your child’s development and socialization with other local children in 2020.

The Occasional Childcare service costs $50 per session and eligible families can access the Childcare Subsidy (CCS) meaning that our service is now much more affordable with low to middle income families paying no more than $25 per day – and in some instances as little as $7.50 per day!

Find out more about our Occasional Childcare service from our website: http://www.maldonnc.org.au/childrensactivities/occasional-child-care
