Maldon Market . . . . Made for Mothers!

Created: Friday, 12 May 2017

Sunday May 14 2017 from 9am to 2pm – Fountain Street Maldon

Mother’s Day and the monthly Maldon Market: Hand Made and Home Grown come together in a perfect match this weekend.

Since its inception in 2013, the Maldon Market has grown to become a favourite destination for the best local artisan products. Regularly attracting more than 1,500 local and visiting marketgoers and in excess of 55 stallholders. Maldon’s Fountain Street and the adjoining Park with its feature Rotunda are jam-packed with everything soap to soup, fruit to furniture, plants to pants, jewellery to jumpers, the Maldon Market really has something for everyone. With a passion for grass roots creativity and quality products, the Maldon Market provides visitors the chance to meet the dedicated makers, bakers, sewers and growers behind the exciting range of things the market has on offer.

Market Coordinator, Chris Hain, says, “This is the perfect timing for our market. Make sure you bring Mum, Grandma, your favourite Aunty (or maybe just pamper yourself!) down to the Maldon Market on Mother’s Day for a lovely day out. Do a spot of shopping to find the perfect gift, then grab something sweet or savoury from the vast range of food available. Enjoy a fabulous Hey Presto Coffee and then settle in and listen to beautiful local music from emerging singer songwriter Suilven Byrne.”

If your Mum can’t be there to join you then grab some flowers from Reus Nursery or a posy from Country Soul or some Proteas from S&J Proteas. If chocolate is more her thing, Delicious Delicacies and Cocoa Rhapsody will have something to please every taste. There’s soap and hand and face care from Tricalog Goats Milk and also Kyirong Emus and of course Kate McB Cosmetics will provide lots of options for some indulgent pampering. If you’re looking for something glittering and glamorous then Lisa Kennedy’s range of jewellery is just the ticket.
